Do not be surprised when a light brown, rock-like thing is served to you. It’s just the camouflage of the sumptuous Beggar’s Chicken!

Use a small hammer to crack open the outer layer which is made of salt crust, then open the lotus leave wrapping. The hidden treasure just lies in front of your eyes. Not only the meat is tender, the fragrance is also tempting as the chicken is baked with herbs stuffed in it and it is being wrapped with lotus leave.

Apart from the traditional Beggar’s Chicken in a salt crust, Toh Yuen also serves the peppery, baked chicken with vegetable in a bread crust.
