Hi Haezri,

Thank you for your feedback. I apologize if this has caused uneasiness to you. You may have misunderstood our intention. We rolled out this promotion out of goodwill, as we wished to give back to the community and break fast with them with our famed buffet.

The promotion was applicable to the first 100 diners who came for the Ramadhan Buffet regardless of the time they arrived. The queue started as the crowd came as early as 5pm while buffet only opened at 7pm for browsing. Most of the guests started making their selection when the buffet opened, and out of courtesy and respect to our Muslim diners, they only started to dine at the break fast time, which is about 7.30pm.

I’m glad that Hilton is giving back through this kinds of offerings. However, this good intention could backfired if Hilton is not sensitive about the very basic of things. I noticed that the buffet started from as early as 5pm and the FREE offer was only for the first 100 diners. Is this promotion is designed to be discriminatory or to say it bluntly ‘the Ramadhan Buffet offer is only offered to non-muslim’?
Perhaps the real intention is just to promote the food and nothing to do with the the spirit of fasting. That may explain the ignorance
